Plaids and Pastels

It's the fourth Tuesday of the month and my turn to post on Craft-Dee BowZ. The Team challenged themselves to use pastels and/or plaids this month and "Out of Shape - No Square or Rectangle Card" and we succeeded with meeting our challenge!  I'm the last of the four to post and I tried to do all three on my card...pastels, plaid AND not square or rectangle. And I have to tell you...not making a square card was the hardest part of the challenge for me. I used this LaLa Land image and the matching die so I cheated and didn't have to fussy cut and she's colored with Copics. The shape of my card was made with a die by Sue Wilson. The challenge for you this month is ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HAND MADE BOW!

Here's my bow made on my Craft-Dee BowZ tool and you can see it's a double loop bow and it came out great!  My roses, buds and lily are from I Am Roses and those tiny pretty peach colored flowers are byThita. The sentiment tags are from Lili of the Valley. The leaf die is by Ellentina.  I used two apricot colored pearls on the sentiment tags and I used iridescent flat back rhinestones around the edge of my card. Thank you, Donna, for the pretty goodies this month including the ribbons and rhinestones!

If you haven't joined the challenge yet, you have just a couple of more days before it ends at Craft-Dee BowZ for our July ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HAND MADE BOW!  I hope you've looked at the Craft-Dee BowZ blog each week to see the Design Team's creations to inspire you and, if not, take a moment to look now!

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

BIG NEWS!  BIG NEWS!

We at Craft-Dee BowZ have decided to make your visits one-stop shopping.  This will be in a very limited way to start.  Not only can you purchase a Craft-Dee BowZ tool and Ribbon-Ade through this site, but you can also purchase -- READY??? -- DIES!!

Yes, we have decided to offer a very small selection of die cutss for sale in our new "store" (see tab under our banner - The Store).  Not only is this the most exciting news ever, but hold on to your hats because we'll also be offering all dies at 10% off!  It doesn't matter what the die company, size or cost -- you get 10% off all the time!  We must however, pass the shipping charges on to you.  We have been working diligently to create a more affordable shipping charge and think we have hit upon the very best.  We will be shipping USPS (DOMESTIC ONLY, sorry no sales outside the US) for $4.95 -- this fee will encompass up to and including 4 dies at a time.  The charge will increase for anything over 5 dies.

Okay, okay, enough about shipping.  Want to know who's dies we will be carrying first?  HINT:  these dies are very hard to come by because they are European and are sold in very few places - especially retail.  We are offering the NEWEST holiday dies from no other than (drum roll please) SUE WILSON DIES!!!  Can you believe it? Her dies are incredible because of all the "surprise" edges that you totally don't expect, so they cut more than you think.  You can always check out her videos on You Tube under Creative Expressions Sue Wilson.

Wait until you click on that tab and see what we've got for you.  But we have to warn you, we have extremely limited amounts available, so when your eyes light up at what you see, hit that Paypal button immediately!

As we travel down this road, we will be ordering on a regular basis and will notify you via newsletter and Facebook when more dies are available.  If you have not signed up to be on our email list or have not "liked" us on Facebook, then you may lose out on some phenomenal deals.

"A good friend is priceless!"

Vicki here...I'm up on the Craft-Dee BowZ Blog today with my July inspiration.  Our theme this month is "Out of Shape".  We are creating cards/projects that are neither square or rectangle in shape using pastels and plaids.  My inspiration definitely covers our theme for July!

I chose a very feminine greeting using a miniature hat that I embellished...
"A good friend is priceless!"

First, I added the lace trim around the brim of the hat.  Next, I added a band around the hat with the blue/lavender plaid ribbon and a pansy floral border.  The sentiment is computer generated and matted with one of my Heartfelt Creation dies and a Memory Box feather die-cut that I shaped and inked. The leaves are also Memory Box and the flowers are Wild Orchid.

Nothing completes the look of a ladies hat like a fancy bow.  This yummy, plaid bow was created using my Craft-Dee BowZ Tool.   It helps bow making easy and stress free.  If you don't have one, you need one!  Visit the Craft-Dee BowZ Tool tab at the top of the blog for details on how to purchase this awesome tool.

Just Flutterin By

Hi Everyone,

Barbara here with my July post. The theme this month for the designers  is "Out of Shape - No Square or Rectangle Card". Boy that really opens the gates up pretty wide. Well I took the easy way out I guess. I made a circular easel card.

A few things you will see on this card are items I  have had in my stash for a while but have never used, Time to get them out and use them. When I decided on a butterfly then a few things just came together.

Let me share with you this card:

Here is the card closed

And here is the card, opened

Here is a closer view of the inside sentiment.

A close-up of the bow.
I just made a double loop bow for this card..
I use my Craft-Dee BowZ tool on all my bows. Making bows using that tool gives me complete control and allows me to make multi-loop bows without any problems. To order yours today, just click here

For more information about my card, please visit my blog here.

Thanks for stopping by, see you soon.
